Someone added me, but they aren't on my list

So this is about Snapchat. Okay, so I just got a notification that someone I added yesterday added me back. The thing is, I didn't see her on my friends list yesterday, but she was on my list to send snaps to. Today, I looked, but I can't find her anywhere-not in my friends list, or on list of people to snap. Strange thing is, when I looked up their username, it says add, like I didn't add them. What happened?
