I can attest to this. I am a popular channel on Snapchat but my audience isn't big. There are public channels that have a bigger audience than me but I get this rank because of the uniqueness I bring to Snapchat.

Be different, it pays off in the long run.

Popular gives me an advantage over Public because I can see insights and I get on people's discover pages that don't follow me.
