Marketing student meeting with a local event promoter tomorrow. Need advice!

First, here's some background. I responded to a local CL ad looking for people to put up posters and pass out flyers for local music/art events. It also mentioned that some social media work was available. I responded and mentioned that I was a marketing student with social media experience.
The person replied letting me know that they were the event promoter at a local bar. The position for posters and flyers was filled, but they had no one doing social and that they would like to meet tomorrow. We're meeting at the venue, so I looked up their accounts and it's pretty sad. 2-4 posts a week, primarily event posters with some food pics. They have over 3k followers on Instagram and Facebook, but customer engagement is really low average >10 likes on FB and >30 on Insta.
So I already began brainstorming ways to improve their social, but I have a few questions for all you professionals.

How do I calculate fair compensation? I'm clueless on this one, don't need a number but a way to determine a range or even just general strategies regarding compensation would be helpful. I have no idea what the extent of the job will be, but it will most likely come down to content creation, generating engagement (contests/giveaways/interaction/influencers?), and community management.

What are important questions I should ask at the meeting? Besides the obvious, what do I need to find out?
