Hiding caption hashtags in Instagram

I have read in several other posts that unless you paste the hashtags within the caption instead of a comment, it will be too late (even if you are a second late) and the tags will be worthless. I am brand new to Instagram, so reach is extremely important at this point.
For this reason, I am leaning more towards putting them within the caption, but I want them hidden. I tried adding the 5 dots (each on a line), but the hashtags are still showing. I know this method works for the comments, but is there any way to hide the tags within the caption?
If this isn't possible, then are there any best practices to make the caption appear more organized?
