Is it bad to post the same pics across multiple GMB locations?

I am now starting to manage 11+ locations of the same brand all across the country and my father is convinced that the easiest way to manage GMB photos and keep up SEO is to upload the same 10-20 pictures weekly (new pictures every week, but same set across all studios). I am wondering if Google can see this and if it hurts the ranking because they know not all the photos are local.
